Messages Reveal Jeffrey Epstein and former Trump strategist Relationship

In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The speech was interrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, who was due to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed speech don't think I can catch the flight we are heading to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a Gulf Air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These exchanges were published on Wednesday together with over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the Congressional committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's name is redacted. Media outlets has been able to establish his involvement by matching the dates, occurrences, and places mentioned.

For example, Epstein talks about arranging a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the inquiry.

Epstein's Assurance to Bannon

Bannon was one of Trump's closest advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his first administration, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a live taping of his show earlier this year, he stated: "We're going to publish the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a aide.

A few days before the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "what's it like to have the most highly paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are pretty good asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Messages

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit thing this day with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling British leader at the time, he added: "The guys are trying to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein suggested Bannon: "In my view remaining as much as you can in the UK. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the people over here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in May 2019 after surviving two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has never been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter took place.

The Congress will vote next week on whether the justice department should release all its files related to its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with powerful figures was reignited recently after the release of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has repeatedly denied any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for years, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, a couple of years before Epstein was first arrested.
